Shahid Afridi used to add a new dimension to the team’s batting attack, especially while playing down the order. In fact, he gave more balance to the side while coming out to bat at No.7 or 8. He is popularly known as “Boom Boom Afridi” because of his special ability to hit gigantic sixes out of the park.

Afridi is someone who loves to put pressure on the bowlers by scoring sixes and fours. He is one of the great players who are yet to win a World Cup. The former Pakistani all-rounder played 27 games in the tournament where he accounted for 30 dismissals to his name.

Afridi might not have scored most runs for his side but he has taken wickets for the team when it mattered the most. With a bowling average of 27.70, he registered his best bowling figures of 5/16. He maintained an impressive economy rate of 4.51 including two 5-wicket hauls.
