The all-rounder from Tamil Nadu had a dream start to his international career. Washington Sundar has hogged some limelight, especially after his display down under in Australia. Then in the test series against England, he was exceptional and prompted the management to even consider him for the shorter format of the game.
If we look at England’s batting line-up, we will observe that they bat heavy in left-handers and an off-spinner with the likes of Sundar will be an alluring option for the team’s management and the captain. In absence of Indian regular all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, he is likely to get the nod and make it into the team.
Although Sundar did not have a memorable T20I series, Virat would not still overlook the young talented all-rounder as he brings the right balance to the team. On the other hand, the youngster would be excited to find his rhythm and prove his worth yet again.
