4. Shreyas Iyer
The Delhi Capitals captain, Shreyas Iyer has been a revelation in the last couple of years especially after his IPL stint in the last 2 years. He is now a permanent member of the national side in the shorter format of the game at least for the near future.
Although Iyer is still in the nascent stages of his international career playing only 19 innings where he has gleaned 807 runs at an average of 44+. With a lot of promise being shown by this stylish batsman, he has somewhat made a denouement to the debate around India’s number 4 in the limited-overs format.
But with a lot of new customers making entry into the national side like- Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, to name a few, Iyer cannot get complacent about his position in the team. Coming after a successful T20I series against England, Virat will be keen to play him as the first choice in the ODI series as well.
