2. Shikhar Dhawan
The southpaw from Delhi will be the other opener who will accompany Rohit Sharma in the pursuit. Although Shikhar Dhawan hasn’t been in the form of his life right now, with this series he will be hoping to slam all his critics. Also, KL Rahul was another enticing option in the opening slot but his current form will be under scrutiny.
Although he has been a regular for India in white-ball cricket after getting snubbed from the Test cricket and his T20 position being in doubt, Dhawan has all to play for in this ODI series. He has a wide experience of as many as 136 international ODI matches in which he accumulated 5808 runs with a noteworthy average of over 45.
However, the left handed batsman would be keen to score dozen of runs to knock the doors of team management and regain his spot in the shortest format of the game. This series is expected to be a crucial path for his future in international cricket.
