6. Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant Test

If there is one player who gave absolutely everything in the Test series against Australia and England, then it has to be Rishabh Pant without the shadow of any doubt. The wicketkeeper-batsman not only contributed with the bat but also kept the wickets and did smart work behind the stumps.

Pant scored 274 runs from just 5 innings at a staggering batting average of 68.50 against the Aussies. He scored 97 against Australia at Sydney that helped Team India pull off a sensational draw. Pant played the best knock of his life when he scored an unbeaten 89 in the fourth Test at The Gabba.

His surreal knock helped India beat Australia by 3 wickets and retain the Border Gavaskar Trophy. It was Pant who hit the winning runs for India. Continuing his impressive form, he scored 270 runs against England at a batting average of 54. His impeccable 101 in the fourth Test helped India beat England by an innings and 25 runs.

7. Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja Test

Ravindra Jadeja is one of the vital components of the Indian cricket team. Jadeja is someone who can bat, bowl and field. One can’t ignore a player like him in the team. His spell during India’s tour of Australia was reduced after he sustained a dislocation to his left thumb.

He sustained a serious injury and as a result, he had to skip the fourth Test against the Aussies in Brisbane. Since he couldn’t recover in time, the all-rounder also missed the whole home series against England. In his last 8 Test innings, the all-rounder scored 4 fifties.

Overall, he scored 1954 runs including 15 fifties to his name. Besides that, he bagged as many as 220 wickets at an average of 24.32. The all-rounder will be itching to go and perform against New Zealand in the all-important clash against New Zealand in the final.
