2. Mustafizur Rahman will return to Bangladesh
Bangladesh seamer Mustafizur Rahman has been a stellar performer for CSK this season. He has accounted for 10 dismissals in five games so far. However, he will be available for CSK only until May 2. After that, he will fly to Bangladesh to play Zimbabwe T20Is (May 3 to 12).
As a result, CSK’s think-tank might have given it a thought about bringing Richard Gleeson to bolster their overseas pace bowling armoury. The newcomer will be looking forward to making his presence count in the hope of helping his team defend the title.
3. Richard Gleeson has T20 experience
Richard does have T20 experience on his resume. He is known for his potential to bowl at high speeds, execute sharp bouncers and effective yorkers effectively. It truly has been his standout trait.
The right-arm fast bowler represented England cricket team in 6 T20Is and has accounted for nine dismissals. On top of that, Gleeson has played 90 T20s in his domestic career. Overall, he picked up 101 T20 wickets to his credit.
