Veteran wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik believes David Warner and Devon Conway are the two overseas cricketers who can take IPL 2022 by storm.

Karthik, who will ply trade for The Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022, believes Warner will have a point to prove in the upcoming competition. Incidentally, David Warner developed a love-hate relationship with the Sunrisers Hyderabad last season and was eventually left out of the playing XI after being stripped off the leadership duties.

Following that, the Aussie opener decided to part ways with Hyderabad and was eventually picked up by Delhi Capitals by the auction. Dinesh Karthik believes the move will work in favour of David Warner. Speaking on Cricbuzz, the 36-year-old said:

“Definitely David Warner. And I say that because he’s someone who has shown greatness in IPL over a period of time, [he has won] three Orange Caps. Obviously, last year didn’t go according to plan but I am sure he’ll have a point to prove. He’s gone back to a franchise that he’s played for before. Interestingly, I’ve played with him in that franchise, terrific cricketer, and I am pretty sure he’ll have a very, very good season.”

“He will go very very well for CSK” – Dinesh Karthik on Devon Conway

The New Zealand opener, Conway, who has taken the cricketing world by storm with his breathtaking batting, will make his debut appearance in IPL 2022. The southpaw will ply trade for MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings.

Hailing the Kiwi cricketer, Dinesh Karthik feels Conway could be a surprise package in the tournament. He said:

“Devon Conway. He’s a new import, he’s going to make his debut for CSK. Terrific player. He’s had a brilliant couple of seasons for New Zealand, did very well even in the World Cup under pressure even though he batted in the middle-order which is not something he does [often]. I have a feeling he’s a very strong player and will go very very well for CSK.”
