New Zealand and Chennai Super Kings’ batter Devon Conway has left the bio-bubble to leave India to reach South Africa for his wedding ceremony. As a result, the left-handed batter will not be available for the selection for at least one week.

Devon Conway featured only in the season opener for the Chennai Super Kings, where he could only score three runs. The four-time champions are not likely to miss his services much as he is not among the top four foreign players for the four-time champions at the moment.

The Kiwi opener is expected to rejoin the Chennai squad on 24th April, as per the reports from ESPNCricinfo. However, Devon Conway will have to undergo mandatory covid protocols once again and stay in isolation for three days before joining the Yellow Army once again.

Conway is set to be unavailable for the CSK’s next two matches against Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings on 21st April and 25th April, respectively. After that, the Chennai Super Kings will get an extended six days off before they clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad on 1st May.

Chennai Super Kings threw a pre-wedding party for Devon Conway

The defending champions treated their Kiwi batter with a pre-wedding party before his flight to South Africa. The batter danced along with his teammates and also posed for the camera.

Notably, Conway was signed by the Super Kings for an amount of INR 1 crore in the mega auctions ahead of the IPL 2022. He made his debut against KKR but hasn’t got any game time ever since. The defending champions have entrusted Robin Uthappa ahead of Conway to partner Ruturaj Gaikwad at the top.
