Sunrisers Hyderabad had a topsy-turvy season during the Indian Premier League 2022. They began their season with back-to-back wins but went on to register five consecutive wins to surprise everyone. However, just when they got closer to the playoffs, they lost the next five games to crash out.

In the end, they finished 8th in the points table with six wins and eight losses. Ahead of the IPL 2022, the team management showed a lot of faith in the Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson. However, the classy batter failed to inspire his team as a leader and as a batter as well.

Now, the orange army has released a big pool of players ahead of the next season and they will need to bring some reinforcements in the min-auction. They now have 13 slots to fill, including 4 overseas slots. However, the biggest positive for them is the massive purse of INR 42.24 crore left to sign the players.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has let go of Kane Williamson, Nicholas Pooran, Shreyas Gopal, and Romario Shepherd among others. In this post, we will take a look at the top three players Sunrisers Hyderabad could target in the mini auctions.

    3 – Amit Mishra

Amit Mishra is one of the most successful spinners in the history of the Indian Premier League. The veteran spinner has bagged 166 wickets in 154 IPL matches at an economy rate of 7.35. The veteran spinner went unsold during the IPL 2022 auctions but he will be available this time as well.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have released Shreyas Gopal and Jagadeesha Suchith ahead of the next season and they now have only Washington Sundar as the lone spinner in their squad. They badly need a strike leg-spin option and who could be better than the veteran?

Amit Mishra recently played Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 for Haryana and picked up 10 wickets in 8 matches at a brilliant economy rate of 5.89. The veteran leggie is likely to come at a discounted price as well and the SRH could invest their amount to strengthen other areas in their squad.
