IPL 2024: 3 players whom Delhi Capitals can bring in for Mitchell Marsh

Mitchell Marsh played just four games for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024.

Delhi Capitals’ current situation in the IPL 2024 hasn’t been that good as they are eighth on the points table with six points. As if that weren’t enough, they suffered a blow as all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the tournament due to a hamstring injury.

The all-rounder’s form hasn’t been that great either. He played four games for the Delhi-based franchise this season and missed the upcoming games as he sustained a hamstring injury against Kolkata Knight Riders.

He jetted off to Australia in order to treat the partial tear in his right hamstring. DC head coach Ricky Ponting confirmed that Marsh will not return for the tournament. Let’s now take a glimpse at the three players whom DC can bring in as a replacement for Mitchell Marsh.

If there is one player that DC should pick as a replacement for Mitchell Marsh, then it has to be Jason Holder without the shadow of a doubt. The Caribbean has considerable amount of IPL experience and DC’s think-tank will be tempted to secure his services.

For the record, he has done pretty well for Delhi Capitals’ sister franchise in the ILT20, Dubai. Having been a part of IPL since 2013, he has played 46 games and accounted for 53 dismissals including a four-wicket haul. On the contrary, he scored 259 runs with the bat.
