IND vs AUS 2023: India’s probable XI for third ODI against Australia

Team India will lock horns with Australia for the third and final ODI of the three-match series. The hosts are leading the series and will aim for a 2-0 whitewash. Following the series, they will head into the much-awaited mega-event of this year.

The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya are back in the squad. However, Shubman Gill and Shardul Thakur have been excluded to provide them with a necessary break.

With so many changes in the squad, the Men in Blue are expected a field a fresh line-up against the Aussies. Here we take a look at India’s probable playing XI for the third ODI:

Full-time skipper Rohit Sharma will be back in action and take up the leading charge again. He has been a bit inconsistent with his batting form in recent months but one can’t rule him out completely.

With the showpiece event just a couple of weeks away, he would like to get back into the gloves and prepare for the biggest stage. To accompany him, Ishan Kishan is likely to get the nod in the absence of Shubman Gill.

It wouldn’t be unfair to say that his batting form has dipped in the recent games. Being a back-up wicketkeeper and opener, he needs to step up his game and find back the missing rhythm.
