The veteran batter Virat Kohli will also walk back into the playing XI and handle his no.3 batting position. He has been in terrific form and would like to continue his exploits against the Aussies.

Shreyas Iyer is likely to be assigned for the No.4 position ahead of in-form Suryakumar Yadav. Iyer’s remarkable century in the last match solidified his case and the management would like to continue him in the XI.

The preferred wicketkeeper is KL Rahul, who has been doing wonders ever since his return from a long injury. He provides the much-needed stability in the batting unit and can also finish strong for his side.
