Universe Boss Chris Gayle is not a part of IPL 2022 after he didn’t enter the mega auction, that took place last month. However, it won’t be a surprise if that giant West Indian turns for IPL 2023 at the age of 43.

An entertainer and a prolific batter, Gayle has been a tremendous ambassador of the game. He is loved by one and all and enjoys a massive fanbase in India, having played in the IPL over the years.

And the cricketer is planning to return to the cash-rich league next season. The superstar recently shared a picture from this training session, getting into shape. Sharing an image on his Instagram story, Chris Gayle wrote:

Meanwhile, if reports are to be believed true, a couple of his former franchises were keen on having the season campaigned in their squad. However, it was Gayle, who didn’t register for mega auction. The reason for not entering the auction is still unknown.

Incidentally, Chris Gayle has hardly played any cricket in recent times and it will a great inspiration if he managed to make a return to the IPL, a tournament which has given him a lot.
