In a major blow to England, their premier pacer Reece Topley sustained an ankle injury while fielding on the boundary in the warm-up game against Pakistan.
While many thought that he would recover in time for England’s opening game in the T20 World Cup 2022, the medical team later ruled him out of the competition.
The English team management has announced Tymal Mills as the replacement for Reece Topley in the T20 carnival down under. However, Mills is out of match practice as he last played a competitive game in August.
