3. Jonny Bairstow
The English batter is one of the biggest names to miss this year’s event as England received a body blow despite having many explosive batters in their ranks. Jonny Bairstow, just like Josh Inglis, suffered a horrific injury while playing golf.
Jonny dislocated his ankle and suffered a broken fibula in three places in what can only be termed a freakish injury. The right-handed batter was in prime form and was supposed to be a key member of the English side.
However, he had to undergo surgery and the timeline of return is still not clear. The English side will have to cope with their star batter in the T20 World Cup 2022.
