2. Danushka Gunathilaka
The left-handed batter has been a regular feature in the Sri Lankan top order for a while now. He is a class act who is a perfect foil for the attacking batters around him in the Sri Lankan batting unit.
The batter was included in Sri Lanka’s squad for the World Cup with the same idea. He was the man to provide solidity to Sri Lanka’s batting unit and control the tempo of the game in the middle. However, the batter endured a hamstring injury ahead of their game against UAE.
The team management didn’t suspect a serious injury at first but later, Danushka Gunathilaka was ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2022. Ashen Bandar has been announced as his replacement in Sri Lanka’s squad.
