The Australian wicketkeeper-batter is known for his enterprising batting and innovative shots. He is a sharp wicketkeeper who could bat at the top or in the middle order as per the team’s requirements.

The defending champions picked Josh Inglis as the backup wicketkeeper and a batting option on the bench. However, the wicketkeeper-batter suffered a bizarre injury ahead of the Super 12 stage. Josh Inglis injured his hand while playing golf during the off time.

What was supposed to be a relaxing time for Josh turned into a nightmare that will haunt him for a long time. The batter was playing golf at the New South Wales Golf Club when the handle of the club broke suddenly and Josh sustained a deep cut to his right hand. He has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2022 and Cameron Green has been announced as his replacement player in the Aussie squad.
