Injuries have hit the Sri Lankan camp like a plague. Dushmantha Chameera is the latest victim of an injury as the ace pacer has been ruled out of the competition. The Asian champions have been dealt with multiple injury blows during their qualifying round.
However, Dushmantha Chameera’s exclusion from the T20 World Cup 2022 could be the most fatal one for Sri Lanka. In their game against UAE, Chameera ran through the opposition’s batting unit as the Aussie conditions suited his bowling style.
However, the pacer sustained an injury and will miss the rest of the mega event. Kasun Rajitha has been named as his replacement for the rest of the competition.
