Ronnie Hira New Zealand

Ronnie Hira is one of the very few Indian-origin cricketers to have plied his trade for New Zealand national cricket team. The cricketer was born in Auckland and played most of his domestic cricket in New Zealand before shifting to the Canterbury side.

Although he played few first-class matches, he is regarded more as a limited-overs specialist. He represented New Zealand cricket team in 15 T20Is. However, he was not able to make a good impression with the ball as he claimed just 10 wickets at an expensive economy rate of 8.

The 33-year-old slow left-arm orthodox still dream to get back into the national cricket team by putting up solid performances in domestic cricket. He last turned up for a first-class game in March 2008 but represented Auckland consistently in the limited-overs formats. The Indian descent was a part of the Auckland 50-over and Twenty20 sides that clinched the New Zealand domestic titles in 2010–11.
