[WATCH] Passengers go wild after MS Dhoni boards flight in Bengaluru

Though CSK failed to qualify for playoffs, MS Dhoni had a good season with the bat.

Former Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni recently boarded the flight from Bengaluru to Ranchi. Meanwhile, the passengers who witnessed the legend in the aeroplane erupted with loud cheers. In a video clip that has been doing the rounds on social media, MS Dhoni who donned a light blue-coloured T-shirt can be seen placing his luggage in the overhead compartment.

Passengers who boarded the flight took out their mobiles and captured the scene before screaming in excitement as MS Dhoni calmly sits on his seat. While several others recorded the footage, one of the passengers took to social media handle and posted the video and it’s been going viral since then.

The caption reads, “Recent video of Mahi while travelling from Bengaluru to Ranchi.”

The video clip received 10k plus likes and the clip is nearing 2 lakh views on X (previously called Twitter). MS Dhoni hasn’t informed the CSK team management about his retirement. According to one of CSK’s officials, the veteran will make his final decision after a couple of months.

Will MS Dhoni play IPL 2025?

MS Dhoni has achieved all trophies in his illustrious cricketing venture. When he was the Indian captain, the Men in Blue won three ICC titles (T20 World Cup 2007, ODI World Cup 2011 & Champions Trophy 2013). As a CSK captain, he has steered the franchise in the right direction, winning as many as five IPL titles and two Champions League T20 titles.

He stepped down as CSK captain following the team’s title triumph against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023. It remains to be seen whether or not MS Dhoni will play IPL 2025. His close friend Suresh Raina stated that MS Dhoni will play in the next season. The veteran might be 42 years old but he restricted his role accordingly in IPL 2024.

Having faced only 73 deliveries this season, he scored 161 runs at an average of 53.67 and a strike rate of 220.55. This role didn’t take a toll on MS Dhoni’s physical health and hence we expect him to continue repeating the same role in IPL 2025.
