[WATCH] Pat Cummins names the Indian cricketer whom he admires the most

Pat Cummins was given three options to pick the Indian cricketer whom he admires.

It is no secret that cricketers often look up to and admire other cricketers in their journey. Their admiration towards other players can be for a wide range of reasons and that is because of true qualities such as skill, technique, sportsmanship, leadership or achievements.

Meanwhile, Australian captain Pat Cummins was caught up in a recent interview for a question and answer session. The veteran who donned the white t-shirt sporting Sunrisers Hyderabad logo on it was asked to name the Indian cricketer whom he admires the most.

The SRH captain was given three options – Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. To which, Cummins said, “The Indian cricketer I admire, I think is MS Dhoni. We’ve been playing for 20 odd years, amazing.”

MS Dhoni is known for his cool and composed nature under pressure. This trait that sets him apart from most other captains. Perhaps, Cummins took a liking to MS Dhoni because the latter stays calm in high-pressure moments.

SRH move to third on the table after a surreal win over LSG

After suffering a hat-trick of defeats against LSG in the first three meetings, SRH inflicted a hefty damage on LSG in the recently-concluded game. The SRH finally opened their account in style with a magnificent win over the Lucknow-based franchise.

Batting first, LSG posted 165/4 in 20 overs. In response, SRH aced the run-chase in just 9.4 overs. Notably, it is the quickest chase of a 150-plus score in IPL history. SRH won the game by 10 wickets and moved to the third place in the points table.

Travis Head top-scored with 88 off 30 balls including 8 fours and 8 sixes. On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma scored 75 off 28 balls. SRH also augmented their NRR to +0.406. They are a step closer to qualifying for the playoffs this season.

Pat Cummins and Co. will be looking forward to winning the upcoming game against Gujarat Titans. This will almost confirm their chances for the playoffs. SRH will lock horns with GT on May 16, Thursday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
