Troubled with his team’s struggles, the skipper Rohit Sharma found a new way to entertain himself and the crowd present in the game between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants.

The hitman was stationed at the short cover position when he faked a one-bounce catch. He celebrated it in a hilarious manner, leaving everyone around in splits.

In the first game of the double-header, Mumbai Indians won the toss and invited Lucknow Super Giants to bat first. However, it didn’t go as planned as KL Rahul, and Quinton de Kock provided their side with a rock-solid start. The Super Giants finished the powerplay at a score of 57/1, with KL Rahul and Manish Pandey batting in the middle.

Rohit Sharma’s mock celebration entertains the crowd

The leg spinner Murugan Ashwin came to bowl the 7th over of the LSG’s innings. Manish Pandey faced the leggie on the final delivery of the over as the Karnataka batter swatted a full delivery to the covers. However, Pandey could not time it properly, and the ball came off the toe-end of the bat.

The ball reached Rohit Sharma on a bounce, fielding at the short cover. The Indian skipper grabbed the ball and started celebrating it as if he had caught the ball on full to dismiss Manish Pandey. The crowd instantly cheered up the Hitman and applauded his antics.
