3. Kolkata Knight Riders – 28 Years
Kolkata Knight Riders won two titles since the inception of the Indian Premier League. They did so by beating Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings (earlier Kings XI Punjab). Both came under Gautam Gambhir’s captaincy. The average age of KKR in the upcoming season is 28.
The Knight Riders have got all their bases covered with both young and experienced assets. Eoin Morgan has all the tools and ingredients to steer his side to a third IPL title. With poor strategy and flawed approach, they finished outside the top four.
However, this time around, they have a bunch of promising prospects like Varun Chakravarthy, Rahul Tripathi, Nitish Rana, Shubman Gill and Kamlesh Nagarkoti They can cause immense carnage to the opposition teams. In addition, they purchased two budding players Vaibhav Arora and Venkatesh Iyer to bolster their squad.
