The veteran all-rounder from West Indies, Kieron Pollard is a massive cricketing figure around the globe. The big man is known for his big-hitting prowess, especially in the T20 cricket. Recently, he shocked everyone after announcing his retirement from international cricket through an Instagram post.

However, Kieron Pollard is still plying his trade in the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians. The five-time champions and the big West Indian are synonymous with each other. Pollard has been a massive figure behind Mumbai’s multiple title victories and he has been a vital cog of their system for so many years.

Kieron Pollard, in a true sense, has been a loyal servant to the Blues and even the franchise rewards him by keeping him to themselves. The five-time champions trust Pollard so much that they retained him instead of the Pandya brothers ahead of the mega-auctions 2022.

Over the years, Kieron Pollard has represented Mumbai Indians in the 189 IPL matches, where he has scored a total of 3412 runs at a strike rate of 147. The big all-rounder has also scalped 69 wickets with the ball.

However, the ongoing season of the IPL has been highly disappointing for Pollard. The 35-year old has only managed 144 runs in 11 matches at an underwhelming strike rate of 107.46. He has accounted for only four wickets with the ball.

Subsequently, the five-time champions dropped their star all-rounder after a string of poor performances to give youngsters a chance, keeping the future in mind.
