Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League by beating Chennai Super Kings. However, since then, it has been a string of disappointments, frustrations and failures. They didn’t reach a single final ever since winning the title in IPL 2008.

They finished at the bottom of the points table in the IPL 2020 season but that doesn’t mean they will not do well in the next season. Rajasthan Royals stunned everyone by shelling out a record Rs 16.25 crore to purchase South African all-rounder Chris Morris. They have the youngest squad in the IPL and did a cleaning process ahead of the auction. They released talisman batsman Steve Smith.

The young comprises the likes of Rahul Tewatia, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag and Shreyas Gopal are expected to play a crucial role for the team this time around. With recent inclusions like Liam Livingstone, KC Cariappa, Akash Singh, and Shivam Dube, the Rajasthan Royals have now banked on youngsters to challenge for the title. The mean age of the team is just 25.
