It is what happens with you when you are struggling to score runs; searching for your form desperately. You find new ways to get out instead of scoring runs. The same has happened with Mumbai Indians’ batter Ishan Kishan as the left-handed opener got out in an unusual manner.

In the game between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, the most expensive player of the IPL 2022 auction found a new way to get out this season. Chasing a total of 169, Mumbai Indians were off to a solid start without losing any wicket in the powerplay.

While the skipper Rohit Sharma was going at a brisk pace, Kishan was struggling to get his timing right. However, Ishan Kishan’s luck deserted him once again and he got out in a way rarely witnessed on the cricket ground.

As they say – when it rains, it pours. The saying proved right for the young left-hander as his struggles to score runs extend further this season. On the first delivery of the 8th over, Ishan Kishan tried to cut a wide delivery off Ravi Bishnoi. However, he under-edged it to the boots of wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock. The ball looped straight off the keeper’s boots to the left of Jason Holder at slip.

The big West Indies all-rounder almost made the mess of the easiest of the grabs but recovered in time to complete the catch. Ishan Kishan could not believe his luck and walked off the field.

Courtesy of the skipper’s knock, the Super Giants managed to post a fighting total of 168/6 in 20 overs.
