IND vs SA: In what turned out to be an enthralling T20I series, rain played a spoilsport in the end. South Africa visited India for a five-match T20 series against a young Indian side. The Proteas began the series with a bang by winning back-to-back games, but the Men in Blue bounced back in style by winning the next two games and levelling the series.

However, the rain played the spoilsport in the grand finale at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Across the first four games, the fans witnessed some tremendous individual performances. However, only a few players could perform consistently throughout the series.

Hence, we are trying to form a combined XI for IND vs SA, consisting of the best performers from India and South Africa.

Openers: Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ishan Kishan picked up serious form after the IPL 2022 and smashed 206 runs in 5 innings at an average of 41.20 and a strike rate of 150.36. The left-handed southpaw was way above the rest of the batters and ended up as the highest-run getter among both teams.

Ruturaj Gaikwad remained inconsistent throughout the series. Barring a match-winning half-century, the right-handed batter could not do much. However, South African openers also failed miserably with the bat. Hence, Gaikwad managed to find a place in the IND vs SA combined XI.
