WATCH: Ben Cutting sparks old rivalry with Sohail Tanvir with a double finger gesture in PSL 2022
The cricket fraternity has come across revenge moments during the passage of play. There is no greater rivalry than seeing a batsman and a bowler going toe-to-toe with each other. Meanwhile, the PSL 2022 game between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators witnessed one such moment on the field.
The rivalry between Ben Cutting and Sohail Tanvir went from bad to worse. In fact, it was Ben Cutting who revived the old rivalry with the fast bowler Sohail Tanvir with a double middle-finger gesture. This didn’t go down well with Tanvir as the paceman exchanged few words with Ben Cutting.
The incident happened when Ben Cutting hammered Sohail Tanvir for 3 successive sixes in the 19th over of the first innings. After making most of the opportunities count on the field, the Australian showed the middle fingers of both his hands while looking at the left-arm fast bowler.

Meanwhile, Tanvir didn’t like the batter’s action one bit as both the players came to terms after a short war of words. But that wasn’t the end of the story. Tanvir performed a similar double finger gesture at Cutting as revenge after taking his catch off Naseem Shah in the last over.
It seems that Ben Cutting tried to play a big shot but he ended up mistiming the pull shot. He lofted the ball high up in the air as Tanvir took a great catch at backward point. After taking the catch, he came up with the finger gesture towards Cutting.

In fact, the rivalry between both the players dates long back. It all started during the game between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in CPL 2018. Tanvir, who played for Guyana Amazon Warriors performed a double-finger celebration after dismissing Cutting.
