In the game of cricket, how often do we see that an outstanding fielding effort changes the whole complexion of the game? Something similar happened in the game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders as Shashank Singh grabbed a screamer on the boundary to dismiss Ajinkya Rahane.

On Saturday, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad are going toe-to-toe in a do-or-die game for both sides. The Knight Riders batted first after their skipper Shreyas Iyer won the coin flip. However, they couldn’t have an ideal start as Marco Jansen sent Venkatesh Iyer back to the dugout early in the innings.

However, Nitish Rana and Ajinkya Rahane attacked the Sunrisers Hyderabad to take the score to 65 in the 8th over.

The fastest pacer of the IPL 2022, Umran Malik, came to bowl the 8th over of the KKR’s innings. The Jammu Express made an instant impact by picking up Nitish Rana on the 3rd delivery of the over. However, he delivered a body blow to the Men in Purple by accounting for Ajinkya Rahane’s wicket on the final delivery of the over.

Umran delivered a short and wide delivery to Rahane to which the veteran batter played a beautiful cut shot. The ball was heading over the boundary for a six but Shashank Singh came in between and grabbed the ball inches inside the boundary. It was one of the best catches of the ongoing season as the fielder managed to bring his team back in the contest.
