The shortest form of the game is loaded with tons of bonuses as far as the entertainment quotient is concerned. Be it batting, bowling or fielding, players tend to try something unique during the passage of play in the hope that they would reap rewards.
However, at times, such moves could backfire instantly. During the recently-concluded game between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders, Ajinkya Rahane attempted to play a reverse sweep shot off Kumar Kartikeya’s bowling.
As it happened, the bowler got the better of the batter. Kartikeya just got his basics right and which is why he was able to dismiss Rahane. The experienced player made a complete misjudgment while trying to play a reverse sweep shot.
