SL vs IND: 5 Indian players who might not feature in T20 World Cup 2021
These players have failed to impress the selectors.
2. Sanju Samson
A large section of cricket fans slammed the Indian selectors for not giving opportunities to Sanju Samson. But when he was picked for the Sri Lanka tour, Samson didn’t do any justice with the bat. One can’t doubt Sanju Samson’s batting ability but his inability to remain consistent has been his huge matter of concern.
He got off to a sensational start in the T20I opener against Sri Lanka. Nonetheless, he just threw away his wicket and departed for 27. Coming to the second T20I, he managed to score just 7 runs. He was dismissed for a duck in the third T20I.
Having played 9 innings for Team India. he got out for a paltry score of less than 30 each time. The 26-year-old still has plenty of cricket left in him. Although it is tough for him to earn a ticket to the UAE for the T20 World Cup 2021, he might be a regular considering if he is consistent in his batting approach.
