Navdeep Saini is one of the players who will be missing the chance to feature in the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup. The right-arm fast bowler has been in and out of the national team setup. He played only in the third ODI against Sri Lanka.
The pacer hardly impressed the selectors as he remained wicketless throughout the innings. Having bowled 5 overs, he conceded as many as 27 runs. He didn’t bowl any wicket-taking delivery and was often on the receiving end.
Saini played only 2 Tests, 8 ODIs and 11 T20Is for India where he managed to take 4, 6 and 13 wickets respectively. He made his international debut for India in 2019. However, he failed to cement his spot in the team considering the stiff competition.
