IPL 2024: Ravindra Jadeja likes controversial tweet featuring Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma following CSK’s elimination

Chennai Super Kings’ all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja became the major talking point on social media portals after he liked a controversial tweet featuring Indian legends Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The all-rounder liked the tweet after CSK’s elimination from the playoffs race. RCB set up a target of 219 but CSK were supposed to chase down 201 to secure the playoffs’ berth.

Nevertheless, that wasn’t meant to be the case. CSK came agonizingly close to pulling off the ropes before they fell short of the target. RCB won the game by 27 runs and knocked CSK out of the competition to make it to the playoffs. Following CSK’s elimination, one of the CSK fans posted a tweet totally in favour of Ravindra Jadeja while demeaning Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

The CSK fan was quick to remind everyone that only Ravindra Jadeja has always stood for MS Dhoni in clutch moments. The fan highlighted Jadeja’s Man of the Match performance in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 final against England. Jadeja chipped in with a brilliant all-round performance, scoring 33* (25) and registering 2/24.

In the same tweet, the explained how Ravindra Jadeja did his maximum best to pull off a very good farewell for MS Dhoni in the ICC ODI World Cup 2019 semi-final against New Zealand. When all other batters failed to lead the attack by example in the run-chase, Jadeja top-scored with 77 off 59 balls, laced with 4 fours and 4 sixes.

In the same ICC WC 2019 semi-final, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli scored 1 run apiece. During the IPL 2023 final, Jadeja hit the winning runs against GT to help CSK clinch the fifth IPL trophy. During the IPL 2024 knockout game between RCB and CSK, Jadeja lived up to his reputation.

He scored an unbeaten 42 off 22 balls (3 fours and 3 sixes) at a strike rate of 190.91. The fan wanted to remind everyone that not Kohli or Rohit but it was Jadeja who always stood for MS Dhoni in the big moments.
