IPL 2024: 3 players who can replace Moeen Ali in CSK XI for remaining games

Moeen Ali has left the Chennai Super Kings’ camp in order to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The all-rounder who will not be featuring in IPL 2024 playoffs has been named in England’s squad for the four-match T20I series against Pakistan, starting on May 22.

The 36-year-old experienced campaigner has played 8 matches for CSK this season. Overall, he has amassed 128 runs including a fifty and maintained a strike rate of 130.61. On the contrary, he has accounted for two dismissals at an economy of 8.88.

The England international’s departure leaves a void in CSK’s squad. The yellow army’s think-tank will have to make sure that they keep their team combination intact without tweaking much in their playing XI in the first place.

1. Ajinkya Rahane

With the league stage nearly coming to an end, Ajinkya Rahane might want to rediscover his mojo. He scored 209 runs in 12 games at an average of 19 and a strike rate of 120.11 with no fifty. Despite the setback, Rahane might as well make a turnaround given his experience.
