The English all-rounder Moeen Ali came out in some mood as he took Rajasthan Royals to the cleaners to blast his way to the 2nd-fastest fifty of the season.
On Friday evening, Chennai Super Kings are playing their last game of the season against Rajasthan Royals at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. CSK’s skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first as the Yellow Army are looking to sign off the season with a win.
However, the RR pacer Trent Boult jolted the defending champions in the very first over by dismissing the opener Ruturaj Gaikwad in the very first over. Moeen Ali came out to bat next and joined Devon Conway in the middle.
The left-handed southpaw came out with a super aggressive approach as he smashed the Royals’ bowlers all around the park.
Moeen Ali smashes Trent Boult for 26 runs in an over
The English all-rounder looked at his flawless best as he scored runs in every corner of the ground. He was in such a destructive mood as he blasted his way to a 19-ball fifty. His knock included only one single and every other run came through the boundary.
Moeen Ali peaked in the final over of the powerplay as he sent Trent Boult away for a boundary on every single delivery of the over. On the very first delivery of the over, Ali flicked the Kiwi bowler for a maximum over the deep backward square leg. On the next five deliveries, Moeen Ali smashed Trent Boult for five consecutive boundaries to accumulate 26 runs off the over. It was also the 2nd fifty of the season for the Englishman.
The fans were impressed by Moeen’s assault on Rajasthan Royals’ bowling in the final game of the season. They took Twitter to express their joy over the flawless batting of Moeen Ali.

Moeen Ali missed out from his maiden IPL century – 93 (57). A great knock for Moeen, the way he started it was just exceptional, gave a tremendous Powerplay to CSK. pic.twitter.com/JmYiIZ20XY

Moeen Ali could have easily ended with 140 alone with that start.
