Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has taken a dig at ‘some fans’ after his match-winning performance against the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 of the 2023 Indian Premier League. He hit back at his critics with a Twitter post, after he played a crucial role in Chennai Super Kings’ 15-run win on Tuesday, May 24 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Jadeja won the Most Valuable Asset of the match for his all-round performance in the match.

Chennai Super Kings put on 172 runs on the board, batting first on the back of Ruturaj Gaikwad’s fifty. They got off to a decent start, but a collapse in the middle order hampered their innings. Ravindra Jadeja stood up in the tough situation and played a fine cameo of 22 runs from 16 deliveries, with two boundaries. He also played a valuable role in the second innings, dismissing Dasun Shanaka and David Miller. Following Chennai Super Kings’ win, he shared a hilarious post on Twitter.

Ravindra Jadeja finished Qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans with bowling figures of 2/18 in his four overs. He was the most economical bowler for the Chennai Super Kings. Overall, the left-arm spinner has taken 19 wickets in fifteen innings, at an average of 20.68 and an economy rate of 7.41. He is the second-leading wicket-taker for the franchise so far in the tournament.

Chennai Super Kings sail through to their 10th IPL final

The Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by 15 runs to advance to the final of the 2023 Indian Premier League. This will be their 10th appearance in the final in the history of the tournament. The Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led team has won the championship on four occasions in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. They will be playing the final against the winner of Qualifier 2 on Sunday, May 28 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The four-time IPL champions will be keen to add another trophy to their cabinet in the 2023 Indian Premier League season.
