Delhi Capitals finished 5th in the points table last season and missed the playoffs spot by a whisker. They traded Shardul Thakur to KKR ahead of the auctions and used those funds to bring in the likes of Rilee Rossouw, Manish Pandey, and Mukesh Kumar.
However, their skipper Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the entire season after the horrific car accident. They will now have to bring in the right replacement for their skipper. However, they have plenty of depth in their squad in both departments of batting and bowling.
If we talk about the impact players, the veteran pacer Ishant Sharma alongside Chetan Sakariya and Kamlesh Nagarkoti could be used by the capital-based franchise. Meanwhile, the leg-spinner Praveen Dubey is also an option. Talking about the batters, youngster Yash Dhull could be used as an impact player in case of a collapse.
