Kolkata Knight Riders made an emphatic start to their campaign last season. However, they soon lost the plot to stitch a string of loses. In the end, they failed to qualify for the playoffs. The Knight Riders looked determined to do better this year but they have received a body blow ahead of the next season as their skipper Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the whole season.
Kolkata Knight Riders traded Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Lockie Ferguson, and Shardul Thakur ahead of the new season to bolster their squad. Furthermore, they signed the likes of Narayan Jagadeessan, Mandeep Singh, and Shakib Al Hasan during the auctions.
In all likelihood, Mandeep Singh will be KKR’s impact player in the batting department, while Vaibhav Arora and Kulwant Khejroliya will be two pacers as the impact players. Meanwhile, the left-arm spinner and all-rounder Anukul Roy could be the fourth impact player on the slow wickets.
