IPL 2023: Predicted XI of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the season
LSG were impressed in their debut IPL season.
Bowlers: Mark Wood, Mohsin Khan, Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi
Mark Wood was purchased by LSG for INR 7.5 crore at the IPL 2022 auction. However, he was ruled out of the entire season due to a right elbow injury. However, the franchise decided to retain him ahead of the IPL 2023 auction. He will be looking forward to making his presence count for the franchise. The lanky pacer has the potential to hit the deck hard and pose a threat to the batters.
Mohsin Khan operates as a left-arm medium-fast bowler and has played nine matches in IPL to date. He showcased his mettle for LSG in the last season. Notably, he took 14 wickets to his name and conceded almost 5.97 runs per over. Impressed by his performances, LSG retained him. Avesh Khan is one of the bowlers to watch out for in the upcoming edition of the IPL.
He accounted for 18 dismissals in the 13 matches he played for LSG in the previous edition of the IPL. He has the potential to move the new ball consistently. Moreover, he can generate extra bounce off the length to trouble the batters. Ravi Bishnoi will certainly come in handy on spin-friendly wickets. He took 13 wickets in 14 appearances for LSG in the previous season.
