Royal Challengers Bangalore’s wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has posted an interesting picture ahead of a crucial clash between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. On Saturday, Delhi Capitals will lock horns with Mumbai Indians in a vital game as the result of this game will decide the final team to qualify for the playoffs.

The equation is simple at the moment as a win for Delhi Capitals will take them to the playoffs but if Mumbai Indians manage to defeat Delhi Capitals, then Royal Challengers Bangalore will advance in the tournament. Hence, all of the RCB supporters will be rooting for Mumbai Indians tonight.

Under Faf du Plessis’ leadership, Royal Challengers Bangalore have notched up eight wins and six losses in 14 games and they currently sit fourth in the points table. However, the Reds have their net run rate in the negative.

At the same time, Delhi Capitals sit just a single place behind them at 5th with seven wins and six losses after 13 games. A win will see them taking over the Bangalore-based franchise courtesy of a superior net run rate.

Dinesh Karthik has had an explosive season with the bat for RCB. The right-handed batter has amassed 287 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 191.33 after reinventing himself as the finisher.

However, if he has already played the last game of the season, still remains to be seen. If Mumbai Indians defeat Delhi Capitals then we are likely to see DK playing in the playoffs.
