IPL 2022: 3 things CSK need to do to qualify for playoffs
3. Shuffle the batting order a bit
Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad scoring a truckload of runs at the top was the most significant factor in CSK’s success last season. However, with Faf gone and Gaikwad struggling to get going, the Super Kings are failing miserably in the batting department.
Now is the time for Chennai Super Kings to shuffle the batting order and experiment a bit. More often than not, the four-time champions are losing too many wickets at the top, leaving the middle order to consolidate.
If they could try someone like Ambati Rayudu at the top, it could solve CSK’s issues. Ambati Rayudu could play the role of a sheet anchor, and the rest of the players could explode around him. Chennai Super Kings have enough firepower in the form of Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, Robin Uthappa, Ravindra Jadeja, and MS Dhoni to smash the opposition.
