We have witnessed on many occasions that the games in IPL have gone down to the wire but still didn’t fetch a result- such has been the fierceness of the battles in IPL. A 40-over game sometimes hasn’t been good enough to decide the winner of the game and as a result, the fans are treated with the delight of a Super-Over clash.

In a Super-Over contest, both the teams get 6 balls each to play and they can bat only 3 batsmen and only 1 bowler will have to bowl the over. The team that batted second will have to bat first in the Super-Over and the other team has to chase the score down to win. Even if a super-over results in a tie, the process continues until a winner emerges.

Conspicuously, you need power-hitters in your team who can unleash powerful strikes out of the park in the 6 balls. Whereas, on the bowling side, you will always find the team deploying its best bowler for the task. With IPL 2021 only a few days from hitting us, let’s look at the best possible combinations of all the teams that might be seen during the Super-Over finale:

1. Rajasthan Royals (RR)

Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes Rajasthan Royals

Batsmen- Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson

Bowler- Chris Morris

The English couple- Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler are one of the hardest hitters of the cricket ball. Both of them are probably the hardest hitters of the ball in RR’s camp and will surely come out to bat in a super-over case. The other batsman will be the newly appointed captain of Rajasthan Royals- Sanju Samson, who too loves to deal in sixes and boundaries.

In the absence of Jofra Archer, RR’s bowling looks a bit dented but the most expensive foreign purchase in the history of IPL, Chris Morris, will be RR’s choice to fill that void. Morris is one of the best death bowlers and will look to take his team through the line if in case RR finds itself in a super-over.
