6. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
Batsmen- Andre Russell, Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik
Bowler- Pat Cummins
With the likes of Andre Russell and Eoin Morgan as the power-hitters of the team, KKR will fancy their chances to win a super-over thriller any day. We are all well versed with the kind of demolition Andre Russ can bring once his bat starts the talking. No total is big enough for him when he is in the mood. To make this worse for the opponents, Eoin Morgan will be taking the guard at the other end.
The English captain, also this year’s KKR captain, is no less than Russell and can send the ball in the orbit. Although the 3rd slot might see some contention between Dinesh Karthik and Shakib Al Hasan, it is likely that DK will be chosen ahead of Shakib.
In the bowling department, KKR will be boosted by the presence of Aussie quick- Pat Cummins. Until he took the field for KKR, it was Sunil Narine upon whom KKR relied heavily on the bowling front. But with Cummins returning to the squad, KKR will bank upon him to deliver in crunch situations. With his pace, accuracy, Yorker hitting ability, KKR will surely throw the ball to him if in case they are challenged in a super-over.
