Moeen Ali is a versatile and attacking left-handed batsman and also a good off-break bowler. He was purchased by Royal Challengers Bangalore at the IPL 2018 player auction. Since then he played 19 games for the club.

The England all-rounder scored 309 runs in 3 seasons at an average of 20. He was released by RCB ahead of the IPL 2021 auction. The all-rounder hogged the limelight when he essayed 43 off 18 balls (3 fours, 5 sixes) and took 8 wickets in the second Test match against India.

The 33-year-old came at a base price of INR 2 crore (maximum bracket). Chennai Super Kings’ team management roped him for INR 7 crore. The all-rounder will look to deliver the goods with the bat and with the ball.
