The Hyderabad-born cricketer has been a prolific run-scorer since his early days in the sport. Ambati Rayudu has shown that he can be consistent at times. The right-handed batsman scored 359 runs in 12 games in the previous season of the IPL.
The middle-order batsman has a plethora of experience in playing in the cash-rich league. The 35-year-old veteran has amassed 3659 runs, scoring 1 century and 19 fifties to his name. He registered his best score of 100* off 62 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad. His innings was laced with 7 fours and as many sixes.
CSK needs someone to step up in the middle-order and Rayudu has all the credentials to live up to his reputation. With plenty of experience in his resume, he would surely come in handy for the Chennai Super Kings in the middle-order, if needed.
