Team India are currently playing against South Africa in the second Test match at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. It is a special venue for India as they have never lost a Test against Proteas. Having played 5 games so far at this venue, India won two games while the rest of the three games ended in a draw.

Earlier, Team India got the better of South Africa by 113 runs at SuperSport Park in Centurion. India breached the Centurion fortress for the first time in history and also became the first Asian team to achieve the feat. Case in point, KL Rahul is leading Team India in Virat Kohli’s absence.

Jasprit Bumrah is named the vice-captain for this game. Earlier, India’s regular Test captain Virat Kohli was ruled out of the second Test due to an upper-back spasm. He is expected to recover in time in order to play the third and final Test match at Newlands, Cape Town on January 11.

“We really performed well as a team and are really excited about this match,” added Rahul. India scored 202 in the first innings whereas Proteas were bowled out for 229. India have to bat really well in the second Test in order to stand a chance of winning the Test series in the rainbow nation for the first time.
