Chennai Super Kings registered their fourth win of the ongoing season after their victory over Delhi Capitals in the recently-concluded encounter at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Although CSK are not entirely out of the playoffs race, they are keeping their hopes alive by registering unexpected wins of late.

Currently, they are placed eighth on the points table and have 8 points so far from this season. CSK beat DC by a massive margin of 91 runs. Devon Conway led the attack from example from the word go. The southpaw scored 87 off 49 balls including a flurry of 7 fours and 5 sixes.

Anrich Nortje took three wickets to his name for Delhi Capitals. In reply, Delhi Capitals were bundled out for just 117 runs in 17.4 overs. CSK bowlers stuck to their variations pretty well and reaped rewards. Moeen Ali, in particular, brought the best out of himself and took 3 wickets to his name.

MS Dhoni not impressed with Dwayne Bravo’s fielding effort

During Delhi Capitals’ innings, Dwayne Bravo irked MS Dhoni with a fielding effort. CSK captain cheekily appreciated Dwayne Bravo’s efforts saying, “Well done old man”. Dhoni’s comments were caught on the stump mic which left the commentators in stitches.

The incident happened during the 17th over of Delhi’s run-chase chase to 193. At that time, DC tail-ender Anrich Nortje nudged the delivery from Maheesh Theekshana towards the cover area.

DJ Bravo, who was patrolling there, put in a dive and prevented the batsman to take a single. After the game, DJ Bravo disclosed his fun-filled conversation with MS Dhoni during the last over of first innings where he urged the skipper to hit boundaries rather than push for singles.

“Well, for me it was a hat-trick ball. I wanted to make sure I get him on strike and I told him to hit boundaries, not push me for twos. I told him after the innings ‘MS, 3 balls to again (if such a situation comes again), let someone else go and run because I have to protect my hamstring’,” Bravo said at the post-match presentation.
