Team India opener KL Rahul looked in superlative form in the warm-up game against England on Monday at the ICC Cricket Ground in Dubai. Rahul and his opening partner Ishan Kishan gave the Men in Blues a blistering start in pursuit of 189 runs set by England.
Chasing a mammoth total, in-form KL Rahul went all guns blazing against England’s new-ball bowlers. He cut loose in the fourth over, accumulating 18 runs off Chris Woakes which included three fours and a six. The Karnataka-based batsman produced an audacious shot to dispatch the English all-rounder.
Woakes bowled a fuller delivery in the middle and leg line and KL Rahul brings one of the best shots from his bag. The bat speed was just amazing and it goes out of the ground through deep mid-wicket.

India beat England in their first warm-up game
KL Rahul continued his blitz to put India on track before getting out to Mark Wood after a well-made 51 from 24 deliveries. However, Virat Kohli & Co didn’t lose momentum as Ishan Kishan continued playing his shots to hurt the England team. The southpaw smacked a 46-ball 70 to keep India well ahead of the run chase.
Earlier in the day, England has posted 188 runs on the board riding on Jonny Bairstow and a late impetus from Moeen Ali. Jason Roy and Jos Buttler gave the Three Lions a decent start before India came back with a couple of wickets.
However, England batters kept the scoreboard ticking before Moeen Ali unleashed carnage in the death overs. He scored an unbeaten 43 off 20 deliveries including four boundaries and two sixes to put England to a challenging total.
