Former India cricketer Parthiv Patel’s Instagram account gets hacked

Parthiv Patel uploaded a tweet to convey his message.

Former Team India wicket-keeper batsman Parthiv Patel landed in hot waters after his official Instagram account was hacked on Sunday (October 17). The former Gujarat captain was recently seen as a cricket expert in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) in the UAE.

Parthiv Patel took to microblogging website Twitter to inform the news with his fans and followers. The former cricketer urged everyone to ignore any unusual activities from his account. He wrote:

“Please note that my Instagram account has been hacked and I am unable to access it! Please ignore any unusual activity or messages from the account till we confirm that it is restored! @instagram”.

As of now, the account has been deactivated after Parthiv Patel informed the authorities of malicious activities.

Parthiv Patel bereaved his father three weeks ago

A couple of days ago, Parthiv Patel had to deal with a personal loss when he lost his father on September 2. The cricketer took to social media to reveal the news. He wrote:

“It is with the deepest grief and sadness, we inform the passing away of my father Mr. Ajaybhai Bipinchandra Patel. He left for his heavenly abode on 26th September 2021. We request you to keep him in your thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace. Om Namah Shivay.”

Parthiv Patel, who has represented India in 25 Tests, 38 ODIs, and 2 T20Is has donned the commentator’s hat after his retirement from the game. He will once be again seen with his spot-on analysis during the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, scheduled to take place in the UAE and Oman.

India will begin their T20 World Cup campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24 (Sunday) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
