Watch: Kane Williamson loses his cool after getting bowled against KKR
When you think of Kane Williamson, you get an image of a cool, calm, and silent personality who approaches his business with utmost grace. The cricketer never expresses his frustration, anger, or dissent on the field. However, the Kiwi skipper was livid after getting bowled off Andre Russell’s bowling against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Kane Williamson invited Kolkata Knight Riders to bat first after winning the toss. The Sunrisers’ bowling did a decent job to contain Kolkata Knight Riders to a par score of 175/8 in 20 overs. However, the bowlers kept chipping with the wickets to suck the momentum out of the Knight Riders’ innings.
However, Nitish Rana played a brilliant knock of 54 runs off 36 deliveries in the middle order to provide some momentum. Finally, Andre Russell smashed his way to the unbeaten 49 runs off 25 deliveries to finish the innings on a high.
Chasing the target, Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma came out to bat for Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, Pat Cummins sent Sharma back quickly to rock the orange army early in the innings. Rahul Tripathi joined his skipper in the middle to stabilise the Sunrisers’ innings.

The Tripathi-Williamson duo added 36 runs for the 2nd wicket. In the 6th over of the innings, Andre Russell came to bowl. The skipper decided to take on the all-rounder to make the most of the final over of the powerplay. The Kiwi played a brilliant swat on the first delivery to score a boundary.
However, Kane Williamson got bowled on the very next delivery. It was a shortish delivery from Russell, and the Kiwi tried to pull it. But the ball kept a bit low, and Williamson under-edged it to the stumps while trying to pull it.
After hearing the stumps death rattle, Kane Williamson was seen getting furious at himself as the skipper was disappointed walking back to the dugout.
